When to expect technician to start new service
Ok will try to net this out. Signed up for Consumer Cellular did not understand they moved my home landline of 40 yrs to a wireless. Cancelled Comsumer 3 days later. It has been 16 days and 28 phone calls to AT&T to restore my landline. Finally, customer service rep in California and not out of country had a fix.....signup for new service and she will assign our 40 yr old number to the new service. Tech will be sent out to check lines and landline will be restored.
No call from tech as of 3 days later. Call customer service and off I go out of country. I'm told to wait 72 hours for a call to schedule service.
I live on a 20 acre and do not have wifi service. Any suggestion as to how I can escalate this?

You should not have just cancelled consumer cellular, you should have ported the number back. Even though they told you they could reassign your old number, no guarantee they can or will. Sorry, I have no suggestions on how to escalate.

Called the customer service line again today and was taken to Columbia. Very nice rep who informed me to wait 5-7 business days for the line to be transferred back to landline. Guess my only choice is to wait out the 7 days. Total time trying to resolve this issue is now 3 weeks. AT&T replied to previous post "will email landline team". Thought we did away with snail mail.
