Call Protect feature work?
Trying to activate the “Call Protect” feature to stop some of the many many “unavailable caller” spam calls. When I get to the page to activate the feature, I get a purple JSP Processing Failure, HTTP code 500 error. Freezes the page. Does anyone know if this feature works? We do have a voip phone.

I have been working with AT&T support trying to find out why callers to my digital home phone get 2 "rings" followed by dead air. (or immediate dead air.) These callers are what I call "long distance" - Florida, SC, NY - I'm in NC.
That got us to "call protect" being suspect. I tried turning it off and got the JSP 500 error. (This should be a simple fix.) The USH ticket number written by the agent on 1/22/2023 is 000000316684539. As of today, 1/23/2023, no progress, with a callback promised on 1/26 to discuss progress.

@RetiredOldGuy You tagged on to a pretty long topic with many posters. I suggest if you have a question you start your own topic.

Follow up: I left AT&T voip for something much cleaner and 10x cheaper. Silence at last!
