ATT answering system overrides voicemail on the handset.
I need to know how to turn the ATT answering system OFF. I want to receive the messages on my new landline phone and pick up messages that way. How do I "undo" the ATT function?

If you have digital phone service you can access the phone features in your MyAtt account and turn it off. If it's a traditional landline you'll need to call customer service and have them turn it off. Just FYI the AT&T service is voicemail and your home phone has an answering machine/system.
