How to watch AT&T HBOMAX on TV when you have Verizon FiOS ?

I called AT&T to ask this question, got the run around and no one there knew the answer. I hope I can get help through here.

I just got HBOMAX for free through my AT&T wireless plan and was able to easily register on my Samsung phone and MAC laptop however, I can't for the life of me get it on any of my 3 smart TVs.

When I click on it, it asks to subscribe for $15.00monthly. I have Verizon FiOS for TV and internet and I wonder if that's why I can't watch HBOMAX on my TVs. Is this only for people with DirectTV plans?

thank you
Cristiane.

Hello, @cris2020!

Let's see how we can help you stream HBO Max on your smart TV! You can stream HBO Max on your smart TVs as long as you have a high-speed connection regardless of your internet provider.

In order to continue to enjoy your streaming, you have to make sure you're signing in on a compatible device and also remember that HBO Max is limited to 3 concurrent streams per account.

Let us know if you have more questions.

It doesn’t matter who your internet provider is. There should be an option to login on the smart tv app. You login with the same credentials you use on the phone app. If the app on your smart tv’s doesn’t have that option, your issue is the app.

Sound similar to my difficulty except I have a Smart Vizio TV Model M321i-A2. On another TV I installe Firestick and quickly connected. I asked for help and await answers. I started 5 months after your original post. Are you still awaiting assistance?
