Why Cant ATT fix the HBO Max "Cant Verify Your Subscription" problem? Its only been a problem for over a year

Instead of the runaround everyone gets, why can't ATT solve this issue? Do they really want their customers to get the HBO Max or not? I would be embarrassed if I was ATT

To better understand what is going on, please let us know:

 

Are you using the login details for your wireless account that includes the qualifying plan (Unlimited-: Elite, &More Premium, Choice I, Choice II, Plus, Plus Enhanced, Choice Enhanced) or that of other AT&T services?

 

This may be interfering with your login to HBO Max since the wireless login is the preferred option.

 

If you are using the same user ID of your wireless for another AT&T service, try using the password to the other AT&T service to see if it works.

 

Also, have you activated your HBO Max in the past and are now having trouble signing back in?

 

Do you have a previous WatchTV or HBO for Life account and are now using their login credentials on HBO Max?

 

Let us know so we can take further steps.

Yes, same username and password and my plan is ATT Unlimited Elite

If you are using the same user ID of your wireless for another AT&T service, try using the password to the other AT&T service to see if it works.

I only have one ATT account

Also, have you activated your HBO Max in the past and are now having trouble signing back in?

I've never been able to get in using my ATT acct

Check that you are logged into the primary account that you are qualified for HBO Max. They use OAUTH so if you are logged into an account that does not qualify then try to link the accounts it will fail. Many people have more than one account which causes confusion.  Try logging into the qualifying account on your computer then try logging in to HBOMAX.  Once you get things setup, try it on your mobile devices.

I had the SAME problem BUT the fix i used is really simple. Just don't log in with your phone number. Use the email attached to your account. Or if that doesn't work bury your phone number. (might be flipped for you. Idk.) Good luck!

So it sounds as you previously authenticated using your wireless account. The account that you have HBOMax on is your Internet account and your accounts are not unified. Sounds logical. Happy I was able to help.
