Unable to login to HBOMAX using browser or HBO app on MAC but can login to HBO app on Iphone.

As of 8/21, I was logged out of HBOMAX on my Mac's browser and HBO app. I've cleared cookies and cache and tried firefox, safari, chrome and brave. When I go to hbomax and choose provider > ATT > sign in > the browser tab says "signing out" > I'm redirected to ATT login page > I login > the screen then goes white and the brower tab says "POST Data". This happens using a browser or the HBO app on Mac... exact same sequence / prompts / messages

I'm grandfathered on the Unlimited Elite plan and it looks like others are having similar experiences. Calling 800 number ended with ATT pushing me to HBO after a few different operators and eventually HBO realized it's an ATT interface thing since I CAN login to HBO IOS app on my iphone without issue.... 

Any help appreciated as calling in was waste of many hours of time and frustrating. Thanks!

This solve my problem: Do NOT sign in using provider > ATT, sign in directly without choosing a provider. You may need to reset password, but this worked for me.

We understand the impact of not able to stream your favorite app. If you get HBO Max with your TV package, internet service, or wireless plan, make sure you can sign in to your provider account.

 

Go to your TV, internet, or wireless provider's website and sign in with your provider account username and password. If you don't know your sign-in information, look for a help or reset password link on your provider's sign-in screen.

 

If you can't sign in to your provider account, please contact your provider for help. HBO Max Support doesn't have access to your provider sign-in information.

 

Update your browser
  • Make sure you're using a supported browser.
  • Check to see if there's an update available for your browser. To find out how to do this, search the internet for update + the name of your browser (i.e. update Chrome).

Did all those ... solution was not choosing a provider to sign in from but signing in from the very first sign in prompt vs choose ATT > sign in.
