HBO max and customer service

I have been trying to connect with AT&T digital assist center for over 2 hours!  All I wanted was help signing into HBOmax.  I started with Lexi on chat, all she did was acknowledge my concerns (general acknowledgment) and then kept asking if I was still connected with her every few minutes.  After 20 minutes of literally nothing else (I have screen shots) she disconnected me, I was immediately put back in the cue to wait for next available agent!  I then decided to call the 800 number where I was transferred to the wrong department several times (with long wait times to find out I needed a different department) given the wrong phone number to call twice because after wrong department a being disconnected I started asking for number.  Then come to find out the department I need does not have an outside number so I have to be transferred, after a 48 minute wait, I was still on hold.  So over 2 hours, nothing accomplished and I don’t know what else to do!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  We have been with AT&T for over 10 years, I have never had such horrible customer service as I am now having. Seriously, I would love it if someone could call me from digital assist center and re-sync my AT&T & HBO max so I can sign in.  Simple, right?

Hey there @Sedenne68, we truly understand your frustrations with signing into HBO Max using your AT&T account and we want to help. 

 

Please be advised, if you have HBO MAX through a qualifying wireless plan, we recommend making sure that it's activated on your account by following these steps:

  1. Go to your myAT&T account overview
  2. Look for the Activate HBO Max tile.
  3. Choose Activate, if asked.
  4. Download HBO Max from your app store.
  5. Open HBO Max and select the person icon.
  6. Choose Sign in, then Sign in with a Provider.
  7. Select AT&T and enter your user ID and password to start streaming.

 

Also, you can try switching your browsers and clearing your cookies and cache in browser settings to reset your online access. Be sure, if you're using the myAT&T mobile app to sign in it is recommended that you sign into your AT&T account on your laptop, desktop, or tablet before signing into HBO Max.

 

NOTE: The trend that you are experiencing is due to a system migration variance. Our team is engaged and working towards a resolution. Currently the estimated time of a fix is 3-5 days.

I have not been able to use HBO for over a month. I have called support 5 times and I have a ticket number. Everyone promises to help but they never call back or email me. I have never had such bad customer service EVER

Depending on your TV, you may need to clear the cache on the app for it to work again. or do an uninstall and reinstall. which HBO Max support will have you do before anything else, so may as well try it before contacting them.
