Thanks for reaching out to us about your access to HBO Max, @Marcencar. We know how frustrating it is when you are unable to access your streaming content when you want. Let's get this worked out.
Currently, the only plan that offers HBO Max at no additional cost is the AT&T Unlimited Elite Plan. However, some other plans have had access included in the past that may still be able to be accessed. If there have been any changes to your account such as suspensions, cancellations, or downgrades then you will lose access to HBO Max. Let's try some basic sign-in steps.
Choose AT&T and enter the AT&T user ID and password.
Select Sign in.
If it’s your first time signing in, create your HBO Max profile. It may take up to a minute.
Choose your profile to start streaming.
Also, if your account has multiple services with different ID's, you wanna make sure you are using the ID/Password associated with your mobile service sign in credentials, in order to gain access to HBO Max.
Let us know if this works for you. If you need further assistance, please reach back out to us.
Good luck with ATT tech support on this. I've been without our "Free" HBO Max access with the Exact same error for 2 months. Numerous calls, hours of my time, and an empty promise from ATT "elite" tech team of developers and NOTHING. I hope your experience is better than mine. I cannot tell you how many times I was given a similar worthless troubleshooting set of instructions which I followed knowing that the problem rests somewhere in the background with the ATT and/or HBO max database.
I have tried login in on the hbo max app and it did not work, which is why I posted for additional solutions. I was told at the att store I would have hbo max due to my new plan.
@bbream i have a feeling I’ll be in the same boat as you, unfortunately.
We want to help get to the bottom of why you're unable to redeem the free HBO Max subscription, @Marcencar.
When did you switch over to the Unlimited Plus plan? Effective 6/6/2022, the HBO Max free trial isn't being offered to new customers purchasing AT&T Unlimited plans. If you switched plans after 6/6/2022, then this promotion isn't redeemable. If this is the case for you, we apologize for the inconvenience. We encourage you to check out our current wireless offers.
So I logged in to att.com on a browser and not myatt app. When I did this I saw an option to activate hbo max and clicked it. It eventually merged Accounts and then I was able to sign on in hbo max.
On the app it did not have an option to activate hbo max so login through a browser and see if the option to activate shows up. This for anyone with hbo max issues like I had. Good luck everyone
