Getting an error message stating AT&T subscription is expired while using HBO
HBO says my att subscription has expired yet nothing has changed with my att account. I have tried reinstalling the app and trying on different devices and get the same error message every time and none of the troubleshooting suggestions have worked.

Hello Community,
This issue is usually caused when a customer has multiple products with AT&T that were getting HBO included, and one went away. For example, if you had wireless and DirecTV, you may have had HBO Max included with both of them. However, you may have lost that bonus for one or the other product based on your plan or promotion expiring. This can cause confusion in the system.
To resolve, please log out of all of your devices that use HBO Max. Once all HBO Max enabled devices are logged out, then try logging in with only the product you currently get HBO Max included with. If you have DirecTV with HBO Max, use your DirecTV login. If you get HBO Max with our unlimited wireless plan, use your AT&T login.
You can also find a complete list of steps to troubleshoot this error on our HBO Max Help page.
If after doing this, you still have the issue, please ask a new question and we'll assist as soon as possible.
Thanks

Fixed my HBOMax Subscription Expired issue. I was able to log into my HBOMax account as usual by choosing AT&T as Provider.
Go to Account by clicking on username (on laptop/PC) or settings (on phone).
Choose "Manage Devices"
Choose "Sign All Devices Out"
I was then asked to create an HBO Max account. I created a "new" account, using the same email address. It recognized I already had account and sent me a code to verify and merge. Was successfully able to log back in on both my phone and laptop through AT&T.
Also on my Account - "Subscription" no longer says ATT Expired, it actually confirms it's billed through AT&T. Good luck!

I tired doing this and it won’t allow me to create a new account or merge my current one. I tried logging back in as normal and now it’s saying my user ID is wrong even though I confirmed what it is.

Hey there, @alizard1142! We want to help you with your HBO Max subscription expiration.
You will want to make sure that you are subscribed to one of these packages or plans. If you are already subscribed please check that there hasn't been any recent changes or updates to your account.
If you are not subscribed to an eligible plan or package, you can still get it!
We hope this info helps!

Put your phone number for the username and your att password in the password slot then hbo will send you a one time code to link your accounts. Once your put your code in it will migrate your accounts with the previous username and password and start again.
