If you have HBO on your mobile plan, you get HBOMAX. Check out the info above to learn what you need to do.

I just got off the phone with a representative. Even though my plan clearly states "HBO Max included," I was told that AT&T Wireless customers are not eligible for the full HBO Max. In order to watch this slim down version of HBO Max, I need to download another app called WatchTV which the representative sent a text with a link.

Hello, I have the wireless Unlimited Elite plan which is supposed to give me free HBO Max (see below. BTW from what I have been reading, I should not have the "Add HBO", but rather a different link that advises that I am applicable for HBO and to click on the link to set it up).

Two days ago, I called and spoke with someone in technical support, who performed some troubleshooting steps, but they were not able to fix the issue.

Two months ago, I had the same issue with HBO Go (at that time, I had the Unlimited Plan). So after two weeks of not able to watch HBO Go, I went on this forum. and worked with an AT&T specialist named Charles O who was able to fix my issue. Well I need the help again!

This is a very bad issue I'm having (maybe a code is incorrect in my profile or maybe there is more than one profile that I am not aware of) and I would like a technical specialist assistance.

Have been an AT&T customer for a long time, but I'm starting to lose faith and may need to consider looking elsewhere for my wireless service.

Please Help!! Thank you!

UPDATE: I now can access HBO MAX!!!!

I called 611 and spoke with Technical Support. The Rep advised me to do the following (they didn't stay on the line, but told me I should receive a follow-up call tomorrow):

1. Go to www.attwatchtv.com/verify (Use CHROME or SAFARI because MS EDGE is no longer supported on this site),

2. Follow the instructions to text the listed word to 2883 (or whatever four digit number it tells you to text). Once that's done, the screen will automatically refresh to look like this:

Note: for some reason, it didn't take at first, so I did Step 2 again, which worked.

3. Go to hbomax.com and follow the instructions -choosing TV or mobile provider. It will direct you to signin.att.com page. Here you should enter the same credentials used to access your bill. Once you put in the correct username/password, it will redirect you to play.hbomax.com (bypassing hbogo.com) so you can register your name and email address (Since I've already registered, I cannot show that screenshot). It also verifies you will be billed thru the provider. So, if you are applicable, you should not be charged.

4. Once this quick registration is complete, you will see this screen:

Since, I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be charged (I'll keep checking my bill for awhile), I signed in to my AT&T wireless account and now it FINALLY displays:

This has been a frustrating experience. So, I sincerely hope this works for you! Let me know how it turns out.

I have an elite unlimited plan with free HBO Max, however, it will not accept my correct AT&T sign in.   I have attempted this in many different ways and on different devices.  At each attempt, I receive the same notice, that my subscription cannot be verified.

Do you usually sign in to view your bill with your telephone number or the UserID that was made for you by AT&T?  I usually log in to view my bill with my phone number, however I used my UserID for the HBOMax verification process. I had to do it twice for some reason (per above instructions).

Thanks for your response.  I sign into my AT&T app using the assigned userID.  I have tried everything I can think of, but it no one other than AT&T will recognize and verify my account.  I’ve tried using other suggestions, such as logging in thru AT&T TV and Watch TV, to no avail.   I believe that there is an issue which is not within my control.

I agree. Try calling  AT&T's technical support.

After Navajo300’s suggestion, I contacted AT&T tech support.  After more than an hour on the phone, they “magically” fixed my problem and I finally have HBO Max!  I believe they “reset” my account after attempting several other options. I suggested that they post the resolution on this forum, but they explained that each situation is unique and that what they accomplished had to be done on their end.  Good luck to anyone experiencing this issue.  Patience is a virtue!

Well they'd better "magically fix" mine too without me calling & wasting any MORE HOURS, or I'm gonna keep bashing AT&T all OVER this forum until they DO !

I've totally HAD IT with this awful AT&T.  A (Edited per community guidelines) suit (again) is apparently necessary.  So sad...so evil...so criminal.
