HBO Max-HBO Channels

I have HBO Max at no cost because of my wireless service. The plan clearly says that by having HBO Max you also get access to HBO live channels and OnDemand programming thru a ATT tv service. I am having many issues for ATT to make this good. They says that what they mean by channels is HBO Max. I know for fact that is not accurate because the plan clearly says “channels and ondemand” that you only get thru tv service and not the app.
Who else has this problem?

What AT&T television service do you subscribe to?

  1. AT&T TV?
  2. AT&T U-verse?
  3. DIRECTV?

I haven't had any luck either! It's been over 30 days, 6 different Rep's and 4 hours of frustration.  Under details for the Internet 1000 plan it clearly states, if you have residential DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, or U-verse TV, HBO channels and HBO On Demand will also be added on that TV platform.

Same problem on DIRECTV Stream.  On line, it even says the HBO channels are “included in your base package.”    Cannot seem to get anyone to help on this one.

@JAL123

AT&T has spun off AT&T TV (now DIRECTV stream) and DIRECTV to a separate DIRECTV company.  Please see their forums here:

https://forums.directv.com/

If you expect to get HBO Max from DIRECTV or DIRECTV stream, you should take your questions to that forum.  If you expect to get it from:

  • AT&T U-verse TV U-450,
  • AT&T Fiber Internet 1000 (and you subscribed prior to June 2022), or
  • a AT&T Wireless Unlimited plan (that includes HBO Max)

Please open up a new post in the relevant section of this forum stating which of these you have and what you have tried so far.
