we replaced 1 of our tv's with a new, different model

 

can i set it up myself?

In most cases yes. Just unplug the old TV and put the new in its place. Remember TVs default to their antenna input, so you just have to set that to the one your DirecTV box is plugged into (HDMI-1, HDMI-2, etc.).

 

However if there is a bigger change from old to new, you might need to adjust a couple settings. What model is your DirecTV box? Did you change to a HDTV from an old SD-only TV?
