Swapping genie remotes and can't get past RF Remote Setup

I have a genie remote used on my Genie that has buttons that have become difficult to use - I'm guessing the kids spilled something on the remote at some point. I decided to swap that remote with one from a spare Genie Mini that works perfectly. I reset the original remote to default values, did the same with the new remote. Now when I try to program the remote for the TV/Audio I'm taken to the RF Setup screen which fails repeatedly. Also when I try to program manually (Mute + Select buttons), the Genie prompts me with a message that "TV Keys Aren't Programed" and gives me the choice to Program Remote....

Not sure how to get past this.....

I don't understand why my Genie does not behave like the troubleshooting guide indicates.

You have to press mute and ENTER, not select. Enter is under the number 9.

Oh my, what a dumb mistake.....I clearly should have read the instructions a bit more carefully. Thanks!

By the way, I also learned that my remote/genie can now control my Yamaha sound bar (at least the volume levels). Bonus!!!

We're here to help, @swamitommy!

To be able to further assist you, can you let us know the model of Genie remote that is currently experiencing the issue, as well as your Genie model?

We look forward to hearing back from you!

Remote is an RC73 and the Genie is an HR44/200.
