I tried all methods provided, none of them worked. It looks like this new TCL model (sold recently at Costco) is unknown.

It is very convenent to be able to use your Directv remote with your Roku, I have run in to this situation myself . I would be happy to help!
I tried holding MUTE and SELECT on the remote and then entering 11756 When I held the buttons down on the remote nothing happened for a couple of seconds, then the green "TV" light on the remote came on, then it went on and off a couple of times, and went dark.
I find hold mute and select and enter 987 to clear codes, then repeat and enter new code 11756. This did the trick.

I have tried all this. I have two TCL TVs. Was able to program my 55", but my 43" Model 43S403 just won't program to my DirecTV R65RX remote. Although the DirecTV remote for my 55" will work the 43". Wish I could bump the codes for one remote to the other! Spent an hour with DirecTV on the phone that produced nothing. HELP!!!!!

I was able to connect my TCL Roku to my genie remote using the information in this thread ,but now it no longer works with the direct tv box. How do i fix this?

Visio code worked for me just bought tv new 4K and used code 10885

All of a sudden my directv remote stopped working with my tcl. I think it had to do with tcl software upgrade.
I have the same problem. I connected to my modem via Ethernet (cat ) cable to get Rocu. Since then I can turn the TCL on with the DirecTV, then back to the TCL remote to select the connection ( antenna ), then back to the DirecTV to select the channels, then back to the TCL remote to adjust the volume. I can find no workable codes except for 11756. Either a software upgrade effected it or connecting to the internet caused something to change. Don't know what it is but neither does anyone else. Very poor communications by DirecTV and TCL.

I am so sick of Direct TV. My new Roku "smart" TV was working with my Direct TV remote, until I made the fatal mistake of asking for help from Direct TV because I had to use the Roku remote for volume. I spoke to a technician who had me do a factory re-set, from what I can determine, and now my remote does absolutely nothing. I had a brand new one in the closet that I had received a few years back, so I got it out and put in new batteries, and made another fatal error by asking the tech to program it instead. He could not do this. His suggestion: he sends me a new remote and waives the shipping and handling charge. ha! I have a new remote, and a second one that was working fine (except for the volume issue, which I now know is a Roku software issue) until he did a factory re-set. Please someone help. I am so tired of Direct TV that I think of going to Dish instead, or even Comcast. Could they be worse? There must be a way to program the new remote I have, or to help my older one out of its factory re-set.
