RC73 remote with LG Soundbar

Hi, I would like to know how to program the RC73 remote to control the volume of the NB3530A LG Soundbar instead of a Samsung TV volume. Thanks for any help.

We're happy to help you, @owens0904.

We have a great article on our website that will walk you through the steps to program your remote to control your soundbar. If you run into any hiccups or need further assistance, just let us know.

@ATTHelp Hi, I was able to make it start controlling the soundbar sound instead of the tv by pressing Select and Mute, then pressing 993, then pressing the volume button in the downward position. I hope this helps anyone who has struggled with this. Someone left out the volume button at the end in one the posts I read before. It is now doing good. Thanks.

@owens0904 do you remember which article you used to set up your LG sound bar with the genie remote because all the ones I have found seem to say the same thing about going to settings, then remote, then audio, then follow the on screen prompts which I have done and I am able to turn on the sound bar with the remote, I just can't seem to get the volume to work.  I know I am doing something wrong but just can't figure it out.  Thanks for any help!

@ATTHelp thank you for your response but I've done that and the volume buttons on the genie remote won't turn the volume up and down. The remote will however turn the DVR, TV and the sound bar on and works for every other function needed just not the volume on the sound bar. 🥺
