Video bridge survey mode inactive

Our wireless video bridge and our genie minis have worked flawlessly since they were installed many months ago. In the middle of watching a show recently, a message appeared saying that we no longer had a wireless connection. When we go through the steps to scan for the genies, we see an onscreen message that says the video bridge survey mode is inactive. How do we change the video bridge survey mode to active?

Hi @brendasims75,

 

What color is the network LED on the Wireless Genie Mini? If it is blinking red, continue to wait for it to establish a connection. It can take up to 5 minutes. If it still is blinking red after 5 minutes:

  1. Get Genie back to Live TV.
  2. Reset the WVB to factory default:
  3. Press and hold the red reset button on the rear panel of the WVB until the status light displays red, then yellow, then green.
  4. Release the reset button after the light turns green. The WVB status light blinks blue as it boots up.
  5. After WVB has solid blue light, start the process of trying to add the genies back.

Thank you very much! Resetting the WVB solved the problem and I was able to successfully add the genie.
