My Roku tv with Direct tv/AT&T uverse all of sudden started turning itself off and on. I’ve tried unplugging and restarting, didn’t help. Anyone know what to do?

Good evening @KHill4,

Thanks for reaching out! We'd be happy to take a further look into this for you.

Just to verify, are you attempting to stream on the AT&T TV NOW app on your Roku? Also, does your TV begin restarting as soon as you turn it on, or when you try to access the app?

@ATTHelp

I am not streaming. I am using a Roku TV connected to AT&T/Direct TV.

My TV turns on and off sporadically, and will also randomly scroll through the settings menu, choose other options, goes to guide, and other menus. It’s really crazy. Have checked with neighbors and they are not experiencing any type of interference, and this happens when they are and are not at home.

Hello, @KHill4!

Thanks for the details. Please clarify the type of service you have (DIRECTV or AT&T TV NOW), so we can better assist you with the interference on your Roku TV.

Hey @KHill4,

We understand that you're having problems with your service. Don't worry, we can help with that.

Are there any error codes your seeing?

I would suggest going online and refreshing your equipment. Please let us

know if that corrects the problem.

Hi @KHILL4, we are happy to help!

Are you having issues with multiple TV's on your network?

Does your DirecTV receiver power on and off or just the TV?

Does the TV feel like it is overheating?

We will be looking forward to your response to continue to help.

No - just the TV on the main box

No - just the TV powers on and off not the box

No - the TV does not feel like it is overheating, not that I can tell.

@KHill4,

With that said, please refer to your Roku TVs troubleshooting. Is it possible your remote control is actively turning your TV off?

Some TV have a sleep mode that turns your TV off when inactive.

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
