The epic new Samsung Galaxy S21 5G is available for preorder now!
Test Speed Does Not Support 1080p, 4K
Why is it that when I test my network speed the arrow only points to “HD”, and not 1080p or 4K.
My speedtest at home registers at 400mbps
Something wrong with my system?

Nope, there is a bug in the new software.

So is this why all of our channels are ‘blipping’ in and out as if we are in the middle of a storm but the sun is shining brightly outside?

Nope, sat channels are not coming from the internet. Your dish may need to be aligned, there are videos on youtube if you want to try it yourself otherwise you have to call DTV and wait until a CSR can setup a tech visit.

We would be happy to help you with your Directv issues @Frustrated_in_ga!
As for as the HD, 1080p, and 4k options you are seeing, HD is considered perfectly normal.
Most of the programming is only in HD, select movie titles may be 1080p and will show 1080p in the title of the programming if it is available. Your TV also must be compatible for 1080p, not all HD TVs are. 4k would only work if you have 4k compatible Directv equipment, TV, and we only have a few 4k channels, therefore most of your downloads will not be compatible for 4k.
The live TV issue you are experiencing is not related to the internet download speed. Live TV would be affected by the signal between the satellite dish on your home, cabling running in, or receivers themselves.
We would need to troubleshoot the issue more to know how to resolve the issue.
Refer to our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool to assist with troubleshooting. Follow the path for: TV > Directv > TV Picture Issues > Freezing/Pixelization
Please let us know if this helps resolve the issue!
