Series Manager

I can’t delete series in series manager that i don’t watch anymore.. also I try to record a new series but says series manager is full! Help???

Hi @jillbandi1,

first, highlight the series you want to delete, then press the red button on your remote twice.

To stop recordings of an entire series6

Hit the "List" button

Go down to "Manage Recordings" on the left, select it

Choose "series Manager", select it

Highlight the series you want to delete

Like it shows...Press the "R" to cancel upcoming

Choose "Cancel all Upcoming"

Works fine for me too. Are you sure you are following the exact steps posted?

This is not working for me. I every time I delete something out of the series manager, by the time I leave the screen it is back in the series manager

You probably have the DUPLICATE IN SERIES MANAGER issue which for me was caused by REORDERING SERIES.  The only way to get rid of the duplicates (per a 90 minute call with useless desk) is to unplug the receiver and plug it back in to do a reset.  Then once the duplicates are gone, you can use the REC button to do the deletes in series manager.  BEWARE... do not reorder until this issue is fixed.  They said sometime in OCTOBER they will release another software patch.  Don't hold your breath.

This doesn't help when you cannot DELETE shows from the series manager.  The res button twice DOESNT work AT&T.  How do we delete from the series manager?

Rebooting the box took care of my duplicates in series manager.  Had 131 before rebooting now have 85. I was on the phone for 39 minutes with the customer service representative going back and forth about already recorded programs versus series manager recordings to be recorded until she finally transferred me as I requested 15 minutes into our conversation (Rookie).  By the time someone came on the line I was rebooting and told them what to do.  They pushed an update last night that caused the problem.  Thanks @rkoler for your suggestion.

me too!  And it's been going on for months!  What's taking so long to fix it?  With the new season premiers, I can't get the programs entered!  I've reset my DVR many times.  I have a note to do it once a month, but usually gets done more than that.  What's up with you guys?  Cox at least had the kinks worked out of their system.

This fix didn’t work for me. I went into series manager, highlighted the series I wanted to delete, tapped the red button twice and it didn’t do anything...  urghh

I can't remember....
Are you trying to delete a series?
Have you tried clicking on the show, begining to watch it, then info... Then more info... Then series option... Then cancel series...

With the new Genie software you actually press the REC button, not the red button.
