Recorded VOD Auto-Delete dates

Why do I have to keep an old DVR hooked up to my system in order to see the auto-delete dates for my recorded VOD programs? Additionally, why does AT&T keep saying that recorded VOD programs expire after 30 days? I have several that are over a year old.

The channels are the ones that set when their programs expire not DTV.

On Demand has always had expiration dates. Having some over a year old is surprising as 6 months is usually the longest I have seen channels allow their programming to stay. Recorded from the satellite channels has no expiration date.

You can see the dates with their HDDVRs and Genies, so not sure why you can only see the dates with an old DVR. And you say you only keep the old DVR hooked up to see the dates? So you wouldn't use the DVR at all otherwise? Little confused there.

What are the models of each box you have?

Which ones can see the exp dates and which ones cannot?

Whomever at AT&T said that VOD expires after 30 days was looking at the wrong feature.

Programs copied using MobileDVR (HR44 and up) to a mobile device (smartphone/tablet only) only last for 30 days.

On Demand downloaded to a DVR has EXP date per the network it is from. There is no standard date, but personally I have only had a max of 6 months. Only recorded from satellite should have no date at all. Differences in licensing between satellite channels and On Demand which is from a network's online library.
