What system do you have? (genie and mini’s?) What is the model number of your receiver(s)?

No there is no signal booster - if you do a search on this forum you can make some additions. - here is one thread I found

excerpt from forum:

Can you use a Wifi extender to get more range on the Genie Minis

I wanted to know if I could use a wireless network extender to increase the range on the mini's? The one in the kitchen constantly goes from yellow to red.

No you can't use an extender, however you can use more than one wireless video bridge but they must be hard wired to the SWM network.

Do I have to go through and activation process or can I just purchase one and plug and play

I believe you will need to pair it to the C41W but that is all.

You can also use the unused coax port on the first WVB to daisy chain the second WVB

Plug N play.  No need for activation, but by not having on your account you wont qualify for support.  If it breaks DIRECTV can;t replace it since they have no idea it exists

The C41W will connect to the strongest Wireless Video Bridge, no need for paring once the C41W has been added to the Genie.

hope that helps

if not - repost and someone smarter than I may be able to help
