RC 73 Remote and LG SN5Y Sound Bar

None of the codes listed in the pairing section for this remote work.  I can get the remote to control the volume and mute but it will not turn the sound bar on or off.  There are 21 codes and I have tried them all.  Are there more codes somewhere that will make this thing work?  I would like to be able to control everything with just one remote.

We have some great information on how to program your remote control with your audio device. Start by selecting your remote type for a more personalized solution. Try this and let us know if it helps.

I already went to the web site and tried the methods listed there.  The problem is that my LG SN5Y audio system is not listed.  If I then select the "mine is not in list" and go through all 21 of the possible settings none of them work.  I have also gone to the web site lookup feature but all it will list are TVs not audio systems.

Thanks for the great information @Radardr.

With our remote controls and programming to audio devices, they are designed to work the volume only. They do not have the capability of turning audio systems on and off. So if the volume is working then it is working as designed..

Your soundbar does have a function called Auto Power, according to the user manual. This will detect when it is getting an audio signal and turn on or off automatically and go to that input. Whether using optical, HDMI, or Bluetooth it shows that this function is available. This would help resolve the issue you are running into with your device turning on/off. We would recommend seeing what you would need to do to turn that function on.

We hope this resolves this issue fully for you @Radardr.
