No sound receiver problem

I have no sound. I have unplugged receiver and reset receiver. Checked all cables. All recorded things don’t have sound. Flipped through channels no sound. Not sure what else to do. I also hooked up my Xbox and it has sound. So I know it’s not the tv.

Check the cable between the tv and receiver (HDMI, component, composite) whatever you're using
