Fix 4K bug

Every time we try to tape a football game from a major network when we play it from the dvr the recording has changed to a different 4K channel which we don’t have. If I record from channel 32, how do I prevent my dvr from recording from channel 105? I seem to have no control over this and am missing games that I pay for through the Sunday Ticket package. Please advise.

Sorry that you had issues with the game. Sometimes when you set a program to record using the search function, the guide will scan for the first available channel that carries that program. If there is a game that is playing on a different station, it may record from there instead of the channel you’re subscribed to. For sports games in particular, this can be tricky, because they are more likely to have multiple guide listings.


The best way to prevent this problem is to set the recordings using the guide. You can find the program in the channel guide, and set record on the actual guide entry. That’s the best way of making sure the program records to the right channel.
