DVR

Just got the genie 2. How can u tell it’s recording a show without going into List?

Why does it go off at least twice a day?

As far as the units powering off you may want to check this setting: menu, settings, power saving-turn this option off. This setting being on will cause the clients to power off after 4 hours of non use. 

 

Unfortunately there is no recording light to indicate when a recording is in progress. So to check will involve going to the list.
