DIRECTV flashing "Connection" loop

We had a small rain/wind storm the other day and ever since my screen from my wireless receiver has been flashing DIRECTV Connecting. I've reset the receiver, unplugged the tv, receiver, main receiver and router to no avail....any other things I can try before I have to contact technical services?

What you have to do is reset the box. The box will reboot. It takes a
while so just walk away from it for a while so that you aren't tempted to
interrupt it before it has finished. The problem is the set can't display
in the native format causing the connecting flashing that you are seeing.
After rebooting the box and waiting approx 10 min for the reboot to finish
the TV will still be flashing the connecting screen. AT this point use the
numeric keys on your remote and enter a channel number that you regularly
watch. The TV should tune to that channel and display normally on the
screen. Now enter the menu and turn off native mode

Usually a reset or refresh will help resolve the issue. Make sure you do this with both the main Genie receiver and the receiver having issues. If still having issues, there may be a weak signal connecting your receivers. If possible try to ensure there are no devices around that can cause interference. Move your receivers closer for testing purposes.

Check your wireless video bridge and make sure there are no issues with it.

Hello @HanaB2016,

We are sorry for your inconvenience.  Although you are not receiving an error code, this article lists some troubleshooting steps you can take with bad weather.  Also, press and hold the red reset button located near the access card on the receiver.  It’s just another way to reset the receiver and has helped.

If none of the steps help, please chat with us here so we can further troubleshoot with you.

Thanks.

No, it's been out for 5 days now and though I've unplugged everything numerous times and reset buttons it still continues to flash the screen. I finally got it to say something that the wireless bridge had been lost, but after resetting the internet it still didn't work and now the main receiver wasn't working either now?

I had the same problem.  I changed the video setting to Native Mode and the screen started flashing blue with a no connection message.  The way I fixed it was I reset the receiver with the red button.  When it restarted it still had the same problem.  I waited about ten minutes to be certain that the restart of the receiver would have completed and entered 5-0-0 on the remote to tune to a channel and the picture appeared.  I then went into setting and turned off native mode

I’m trying to do as you are telling to do it but I can’t get to settings before it shuts down saying connecting or if I get close the tv flashes a white screen after the white screen passes its still white even the words making it heard to read when I press menu and by the time I get to settings it shuts off again

If the system isn't working how do you change the setting to Native Mode.  What is Native Mode and how do you change it?

@ed_leach2, have you tried resetting both your main Genie DVR and the Genie Mini Client boxes?

I Did reset the small box and after about 5 minutes tv service resumed. A
message then began showing that said a system update was available and gave
choice now or later. I clicked on ok and nothing appeared to happen. A few
minutes the note showed up again and once again I said ok. This happened
over and over. This morning all appeared normal. I don't know if the system
updated after I turned the tv off or not. Thanks for help. P.S. other tv's
did the same thing with the update message.

@ed_leach2, you should also reset your main Genie DVR.

Did you ever find out what or how to get to native mode?

My TV has been reset 3 times and this last time been flashing the message for about 30 minutes.  I am concerned if I reset the main DVR and lose all my TV’s (horror).
