Cosmetic issues?

Does Directv always send replaced receivers that look like (Edited per community guidelines) or did I just get unlucky? Two HR24 and one HR54. Wondering if this is normal before I hook them up.

Boxes are refurbished. Functionally they should be in like-new condition, but as there are not new models constantly flowing off an assembly line they can have cosmetic blemishes. They shouldn't be horrible. But as HR24s are no longer made (since they can use the old system as well), then refurbished ones may be showing more external wear. And with everything moving slower and short staffed from Covid, I wouldn't be surprised if quality of looks has gone down to try and keep up. As long as they work correctly, that is what really matters.

The HR24 is a fine model, so hope a new line of regular HDDVRs that only uses the new system (SWM) is in the works to compliment the Genie. But haven't heard of anything, not even a whisper.
