Voice Command or Search

Is this currently a viable feature. I see dated descriptions and videos on the internet about how it works, but doesn't work for me. I can never see the voice option when I click on the menu in the DirecTV app.  Thanks for any assistance. Note my app is current and I have the HR54/500.  It and my phone are registered.

Hi @Big49!

 

 The feature you're referring to in the app is no longer available, however, it was replaced with Amazon Echo/Alexa Support!

 

You can learn about how to set up Alexa Voice Control for your DIRECTV.  You can also learn all of her commands!

Thanks for your honest response. I called to tech support multiple times and they continued to say it should work,  and said it was being referred to engineering. I can move on now.  Regards.
