How do I connect app to my genie DVR?

My phone app won't connect to my genie 2 DVR even when I type in the IP address.

Hi There @Gater1970

We understand that you are getting an error on your phone saying that you cannot connect to your DVR.  We can help with that. 

 

Please follow the steps provided:

  1. Press MENU on your remote
  2. Go to Settings and press SELECT
  3. Select Network Setup then Connect Now (Note: If your Genie HD DVR was previously connected to your home Wi-Fi network and the connection was lost, select Restore Defaults before selecting Connect Now)
  4. Select Continue
  5. Enter the Network Name and Password manually on your router.

After that your DVR should be reconnected to the same WIFI as your phone is. You should be able to register the phone.
