Error code 100001 for directv app on android

My DirecTV app has not been working for the past 2 months . When I try to login it gives me error code  100001. I called about this issue about a month ago and was told that i would have a ticket created and will be fixed in 48 hours,  it still has not been fixed. I've searched your forums and there are multiple people that are having the same issue. I am paying for a service that I cannot fully use and I'm not very happy about it. Does AT&T or DirecTV have a fix for this or you just want to get everybody the runaround.

It is good I have read this information. I am from https://worldcams.tv/united-states/new-york/times-square, and I was just going to subscribe to this service. So it looks like it does not deserve attention. If the company is not able to provide high-quality customer service, this company is doomed. It is not a very wise approach taking into account current competition in the market.

We are here to help with your DirecTV app inquiry, @bombsquadsoftball8,

 

Are you currently using a Mac OS?

  • Mac OSX Catalina has done away with the use of 32 bit applications.
    • What does this means?
      • If you have Catalina OS. You are unable to use any 32 bit applications like DirecTV player or Flash.
    • What can you do?
      • If you have backed up the OS, you can use Mac's "Time Machine" to revert back to an OS which will work with 32 bit applications.

Instead of using a password reset, let's try to refresh your DirecTV services.

  • This is sync up your account services, channels, and authorizations.

Before you login. Let's make sure we have cleared any errors inside of the app.

  1. Try deleting the app first.
  2. Restart the device.
  3. Re-install the app.

This should resolve most trouble error codes or messages.

We can help with that, @Gomiltonix. It looks like there are a few other people who are having this problem as well, so hopefully these steps will help everyone.

 

Error code 10001 usually just means an incorrect username or password. We’d recommend resetting the password, but first, we’d recommend checking out this guide specifically. Over the past couple of years, many DirecTV accounts were migrated into the AT&T system. You can still stream using the DirecTV app, but you will need to manage your account on either ATT.com or by using the MyAT&T app. This includes password resets and other account changes.

 

After you’ve reset your password, delete and reinstall the DirecTV app. Once it’s reinstalled, try logging in with your username and the new password you created. You should be able to get in then.
