Error code 100001 for directv app on android

My DirecTV app has not been working for the past 2 months . When I try to login it gives me error code  100001. I called about this issue about a month ago and was told that i would have a ticket created and will be fixed in 48 hours,  it still has not been fixed. I've searched your forums and there are multiple people that are having the same issue. I am paying for a service that I cannot fully use and I'm not very happy about it. Does AT&T or DirecTV have a fix for this or you just want to get everybody the runaround.

We apologize you have been having issues utilizing your DIRECTV app, but we strongly suggest checking out this great DIRECTV Everywhere Troubleshooting support article for the best steps for resolving the issue. If you already have an AT&T Access ID you may want to start with uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. Let us know if this helps!

I have don all of these steps. I also have a directv now account that is not active, could this be the issue? From what I can see in your forums this is a known issue.

Thanks for reaching back and letting us know the steps you have taken in this matter. To answer your question, having an inactive Directv Now account wouldn't interfere with this matter.

 

So that we may further assist, we need a few more details about the error your experiencing. Can you please specify the make and model of the android device you are using to log in to the Directv app? Also, are you able to log in to your Directv app on other devices?

My phone is an lg v30, I can not log into the app on android or Apple iphone, they both give me the same error message. This is a known issue, I Don't understand why you guys don't have it fixed. It literally gives the error code you guys created. This is extremely annoying, im tempted to just switch services.

Did you ever get this working?  I am having the same problem and called Directtv support but they said that Chat was the only option and I can't get a chat box to show up on the support page.

 

I have tried on several devices and I get the Error 100001 -Sorry something went wrong.  Please try again later

 

I have reset my password many times and I know it is not an issue with my password.  If I enter the wrong password then the message changes to  something like your password does not match our records.

 

This has been happening for a couple months and I gave up on it the first time.  

 

THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.  SHOULDN'T OFFER SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO SUPPORT AND/OR FIX

I'm having the exact same issue. I have been having problems with the app for almost a year now. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it doesn't work. I think it has to do with Direct TV app and Andriod in general. I had a Samsung Galaxy s7 and it didnt work on that one have a Galaxy s9 and it still doesn't work. I'm so angry that this is a constant issue and nothing is being done to fix it so it seems since a lot of people have this problem.

Same issue here and *nobody* seems to know how to fix it. Calls to the tech line shows they are not even aware of it.

I got the same problem now they're making me log into an AT&T app which then log me into DirecTV  and then I get that stupid  error 100001 omg

I Uninstaller directv on tablet and gave up. If I bother with att chat they help but only do email or directv. Can't seem to do both. This worked when tablet was new, at the att store. Then quit. With football back I want it on the tablet. I have directv but keep getting error 100001. So ridiculous. Anyone fixed theirs?

Has never worked for me either.  I call and they do the usual steps that the guidelines tell them. I have had the change my username and password so much that it's hard to even remember what it is anymore. If you ask the reps what is causing it they get confused because they don't know what to do if it's not going by the steps the computer tells them. They need to hire people that actually know what they are doing, not just read the computer screen. $200 a month for cable, internet and nfl ticket that I can't watch while on the road, I'm a semi driver, is kinda rediculous.  Been telling me for 2 years that it will be fixed soon.

I usually give up until football comes on. I used to watch direct from bed on tablet but can't now. Spend an hour with some super polite person who gives me to the supervisor. Then ultimately a phone number to call with a huge wait time. Very frustrating.
