Directv login

i have tried logging into directv app 20 times. It gives me error message. Invalid ID. It directs me to AT&T account to reset ID.  I’ve reset it numerous times with no success.  Why is it so overly complicated? Please help!

Before resetting your AT&T User ID, we suggest troubleshooting the DirecTV app using the options below:

  • Verify time settings are set to auto on the device.
  • Reset the device.
  • Delete cache and cookies. Varies on phone, browser or device operating system.
  • DIRECTV Player Troubleshooting 
  • Test on another device
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app (you will lose recordings).
  • Verify you have the latest software on your phone, tablet, and browser.
  • Restore your phone. You may lose data such as pictures when performing this. Make sure you back it up.

I just went through (Edited per community guidelines) myself. First while trying to log in, it gave me multiple error messages even though I tried about a dozen times with the exact same user email and password that I've used for the last several years. So I clicked the User ID reset link, which directed me to my email, which contained a message with an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ACCESS ID AND ATT EMAIL that I had never seen and never use. About an hour later, I finally got in, using that strange access ID, and having to also reset my password, still using my regular email. It also told me I had more than one access ID. Finally, after seeming to have logged in, I tried to pay my DirecTV bill, and it gave me an error message saying there was NO ACCOUNT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ID. What in the #$%^&* world is going on???
