Directv iPAD App freezes randomly during playback of DVR recording at home

When I used my Directv iPAD App to stream my DVR recording in home, the app freezes randomly and does not let me resume the playback. I have to close the viewing then restart it. I have an iPAD 5th Generation, iOS 13.3, using 5GHZ WiFi with full WIFI signal. My Genie is connected to my network via ethernet (directly in the Ethernet port on the Genie). This only happens when streaming the DVR recording from the Genie. It does not happen if I stream the "on demand" version of the recording.

Hi @Dunkerts,


You could have a  weak connection between the router and the iPad.  If you have a laptop try running a speed test at to assure that the router's wireless system is working properly.
