Hi @granger,

 

This thread has information for the app and web page. The Mobile DVR does have the functionality for you to view what is available to watch on your DVR/TV. You do have to setup the app within your network to view the list of recordings.  The links in the thread will help.

Do I need to allow plugins to watch my directv streaming account

I'm trying to watch a show on my computer through directtv and when i clickon the show it tells me that a plugin was blocked. When I unblock it the player says error refresh page and reload player. I do that and it just says the same error code. The plugin blocked message keeps coming up

When I try to watch online from work or my laptop it won't do anything.  I can click on watch now 100 times and nothing happens.

It just shuts down mid load. Furthest i can get in it is the user agreement. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times now, shut down phone, cleared cache. It was running fine last week. I can't watch on my computer or my phone now. It doesn't work on my Macbook at all. I have called technical help for Mac multiple times and no one knows what to do. This is ridiculous. Everything is up to date on phone and app.

I currently cannot access my DVR, and therefore all of my live streaming channels, when outside my home and off of wifi.  It does work on my home wifi.  I consistently get the "Can't connect to DVR. Tap here to try again" message. This is universal across all devices I have tried to register including a Samsung S7, an HTC One M9, and several Galaxy Tab A's.  I have been through the basic help, and I was told that my ticket would be escalated, and the issue would be resolved in 24 hours.  It's now been nearly 48 hours, and I have not heard a thing.

 

When using the connectivity tests on the app Network assistant I am getting failures on tests 4 and 5. How do I solve the connection issue so I can access my DVR and live streaming channels outside the home? 

 

Anyone have a solution?

I have a S8 with android 8.0 beta and my app will not even start, it closes right away when presses. I have cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled several times and cleared data. The app simply does not work!! it needs updating fast. Oh, before the crashing, it would not download anything on my DVR. What a joke!!

you have a beta os, you should expect issues

The problems were there even before I downloaded the beta OS and what, when this OS goes live to every Samsung S8, S8+ and note 8 we should JUST expect issues?

then it goes live, then directv can work on the app

a beta os is still subject to change

instead of making excuses, you should just take a look at the recent reviews on google play about the app...FYI, I'm not the only one.

I am having trouble with the app. It keeps saying I’m streaming on another device. This has been going on for months.

@KeeBee, have you tried resetting your main Genie DVR?  That usually fixes this issue.

While away from home and using Directv app on my Ipad, i cannot access my playlist. I just keep getting unable to connect to DVR. I've tried everything: re-installing app, re-registering ipad while home, manualling entering IP address (says invalid/no receiver found), calling and working with tech support 9 different times with no solutions. While at home on my wifi network everything works normal with my ipad (settings/receiver control/IP status-Valid/Found receiver/Control Status-Enabled. Does anyone understand (haven't found a tech yet that knows) Under -settings-DVR Access-Network Assistant, what the connectivity tests mean? On my home wifi I get 1,2,3,6 passed  4,5 Failed  while out of home I get 1,2,3 Passed,  4,5,6 Failed.  Could anybody that has a MOBILE DVR working do these tests and tell me if my test results are normal. Thank You.  I travel alot and cant get Mobile DVR to work, I think I may have to go over and try DISH. Directv techs don't know much about the app and can't solve the problem. It used to work several months ago but the Directv app has had updates and my internet service changed names from Time Warner to Spectrum. Can anyone who has an Ipad with the updated Directv app and Spectrum for their home wifi tell me if their Mobile DVR allows them to watch their recorded programs away from home like it's advertized!  Thanks, I'm ready to give up.
