directv app won't connect to receiver

I downloaded the app to my iphone a few months ago and everything was working

I tried it a couple of weeks ago and it says receiver not connected to wireless network I disconnected and reconnected dvr also reset my wireless modem  my dvr says it is connected but the app keeps buffering saying it is dowmloading channels and when I check the dvr on my phone it says dvr not connected to network also tried on 2 different ipad still the same message

There is a new app that was sent out for android and apple phones last week. You need to uninstall the old one and reinstall from the app store.

I finally got mine to work!!!!! They had me restart the main receiver by pressing the red button. When it was totally booted back up, she had me press the right arrow button to see if the TV apps would load. Once those did(it did take a couple tries for everything to connect again), she had me press the left arrow button for my DVR shows to load. Once I did all that, the app was able to register me DVR again. I've had a couple times since where it won't connect, I just load the TVapps on the main receiver and it works fine again.

I have the exact same problem. The "solution" did not work. I have uninstalled several times. Sorry lilricky...got anything else I can try. The developers got this app wrong.

App still won't let me connect to DVR? was this issue ever even acknowledged?? Just keep getting error code 100.

No one replied and the problem persists, so I uninstalled the app. I hate it when I can't use things I pay for.

Constantly not connecting...error messages, no signal, retrieving data...on and on. If a small rain storm we loose service and forget a thunderstorm! Snow and freezing temperatures the stinkin dish is aimed UP! So it collects snow and ice...I was told to wait til it melts!!! Seriously this is February in Cleveland!! Finally called they would not talk about cancel so conceded to a technical visit. Not sure to laugh or cry...dish is where it must be, live with it, buy a "dish warmer" run an extension cord from dish into a window!! Forgot to tell me how to get my 66 y/o body on the roof! A royal pain when I watch local stations for local net& weather and Fox News and QVC when bored! To think spending $$$ for this aggregations 👎🏻🤑

Still an issue. Worked fine a couple of weeks ago. Now all it says is cant connet to receiver. Tired to send the error report and that wint even connect. Something had to change. I downloaded the app a month ago. Worked fine, now wont coonect to receiver. Uninstalled, waited a couple of days and reinstalled and still wont connect to rwceiver.

The app is still doing the same thing...will not connect to my receiver. I hate being frustrated. I just uninstalled the app. It never works right on my Android phone.

Mine is doing this too. Says tv and device need to be on same wifi. They are!! But won't connect! Any suggestions???? Spent HOURS on the phone with direct tv today. Grrrrrr

All of these folks likely have a combo router.  Your app won’t work with a combo router.  Most xfinity routers are combo.

That's ok I have been having issues as well Called Directv, sent PM, still not working. Can't wait till my contract is up. I knew I should not have agreed for the discount because I would be paying less with another service since I have to pay for Hulu and Netflix to watch the shows I want when I am not home.

Having the same issue with ipad. Worked fine until a couple weeks ago. Now it won’t stay connected. Beyond frustrated.
