Directv app not working - error: missing user name

I can’t log in to my directv app. After typing in my user name and password I am taken to a “multiple accounts found” screen. After selecting the account I want to use and pressing continue, I am redirected to another page with an error pop up that says, “error: missing user name”.

 

On top of my app not working, our ondemand NEVER works. No matter the time of day or what it is I’m trying to watch, anytime I try to watch something on ondemand I get a “sorry! We have no programs at this time that match the filter you selected.”

Hi @Kelseyt2008

 

 We can help you with the DIRECTV app. Now we can try the bast troubleshooting steps:

 

  1. Uninstall the app from the device
  2. Clear the cache and app data
  3. Turn the device completely back off
  4. Wait 30 seconds to a full minute
  5. Turn the device back on
  6. Reinstall app again.

Try those things first. If they do not resolve the problem, then reach back out to us and we can what else can be done to resolve the problem.

i rremoved my ATT TV NOW APP, but i have no idea how to reinstall it.

Guys just log in in the website, take a chat and text them your issue. Ask the rep to transfer you to DirecTV Tech support. They will be able to help or let you guys know if it's a recent issue that must be fixed asap.

In settings, scroll down till you see TV provider.  Make sure to click and add DirecTV. Once that’s set, delete the add the app once again. This will fix the issueED46BFB4-1696-4453-9B9F-1DAAED07BC5B.jpeg
