Veterans Discount Direct tv

In conversation recently with customer service I've been advised that there is a veterans discount. Communication with customer service has yielded conflicting information.  Please advise if there is such been associated with DirecTV for about 10 years now

DirecTV does not have such a discount. Any promotions are based on your individual account and credit, not any other status (veteran, senior citizen, low income, etc.).

Though right now any discounts are few an far between regardless. They are addressing an issue of customers at risk of operating at a loss (or some who are as have been living beyond their means), so have pulled back most promotions for the time being.

Any discounts that might be available in the future are temporary perks. So suggested to review your channels and package and find the best fitting one (for what you watch and your budget). Having the right setup to begin with will be your long term savings, ensuring you aren't subscribed to more than is comfortable.

Whoever you talked to apparently was working off old information. There was a veteran discount for TV service with a qualifying unlimited wireless data plan, in fact I am getting that discount but it was discontinued last year. Only those already getting it get to keep it.

@sjwatkins035 Not sure what you mean by same issue. There is no issue because there is no veteran’s discount. If your issue is that there are agents telling you there is a discount, there isn’t.
