NFL Ticket - Free Offer

Re: Direct TV Account No. [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]

I received an email offer on August 1, 2017  offering Free NFL Ticket for 2017 "with no strings attached" and accepted on or about that same day.
I received my Direct TV statement on August 11th and found that I was charged for the NFL Sunday Ticket.
Last week I called Direct TV Customer Service and was told that I had to speak with the Sports Channel Department. I was transferred and after 2 "hold" periods told that I would be getting a credit. So far NO CREDIT!
I feel like I was scammed!
What gives?
