Do you give longtime customers a discount? Not I do not think!

No incentive to stay with directtv!

Well there is no requirement of discounts as it is not something we as customers are entitled to. Sometimes there are specials, but those are temporary perks.

Their CEO announced months ago that discount offers would be pulled back. Apparently they are dealing with accounts that are operating at a loss, or have risk to do so. They are a business so must adjust accordingly.

Review the channels you enjoy so you can verify the best fitting package. If costs are too high, then reduce service. Certainly enjoy any discounts that 'might' be available, but never rely on them to afford the bill. If you cannot afford without discounts, then it is your responsibility to adjust services, not expect the company to just change price for you.
