The only time DTV waives the ECF/ETF is if there is no Line Of SightLOS) at the new location when you move. You will have to wait until the contract is over or pay it.

Call DirecTV and when you get the voice prompt say "cancel". The retention agents can verify when your service agreement ends. Only once it ends can you cancel without an ECF. Be prepared they are required to see if they have any options to resolve your concern and retain your business.
