Autopay isn't ready

I would like to sign up for autopay for my account but every time I try it says it isn't ready.

Just to clarify, what are you using to access and sign up for Autopay? Are you using our application, or one of our websites? How long has it been since you started service with us?

 

The steps for how to sign up for Autopay as well as the error messages you can receive differ depending on where you are attempting to sign up. Please let us know the full error message you are receiving, and we will do our best to help.

Its on the website and its been about two weeks that we've had directv.

@Scottchman427, let’s get your Autopay set up!

 

We believe you may need to validate your address. This is important when setting up AutoPay since most communication will be sent via email. When your order was placed, you should have received an email with a Registration link. Sometimes these get lost or go to a spam folder, etc. If you do not have the email, you can still validate with the following steps:

  • Log in with your UserId and password on our website.
  • Check your account information and verify your email address. Update if it is needed.
  • Check your notifications for the link to resend the email.
  • Follow the steps in email to complete your registration and validate your email address.

Once you have completed the registration and verified your address, you should be able to sign up for AutoPay. Just to clarify, when you say website, are you referring to att.com or directv.com? When setting up your account, you will want to create your AT&T UserId and password on att.com. Once logged in, the site should switch you over to directv.com.

I'm using the ATT website.  It says my email is verified but autopay still isn't ready.

Are you sure you want to use AUTO PAY??  Just saying......
