Outdoor security camera too dark at night
Hello,
My DigitalLife was updated by AT&T I could tell I saw it on the keypad says software update. And ever since my outdoor camera wearing totally pitch black At night. Works great during the day but not at night. It used to work great 12 software upgrade not sure with the death if they lower the power to the IR led. Also can I use a 3rd party other camera. No one from AT&T will help out I’m really disappointed in this company

Hi @kizy3647 and @ATTDigitalLifeCS ,
This was marked as “Solved”, and this post as the ‘Solution’.
Can you tell us what the solution was, so others can share in the benefit?
Thanks - that would be great,

I my having the same issue with both of my outdoor cameras. The ring doorbell however works great. This company has been going down hill. They need to replace everyone’s camera. They already came out 4 times in 2 months. The change my main box and they even have to change my lock because the system wasn’t seeing. I am going to have start looking for a new alarm company. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have 5 outdoor cameras, and the infrared (night) vision was pretty good when they were new.
But now, they have pretty much no infrared sensitivity at all... I guess I didn’t notice because it was gradual. They are basically ‘black’ at night. Unless objects come within just a few feet of the camera.
I need the cameras replaced.
When I see my friends’ RING and Blink cameras, they look amazing by comparison to the ATT outdoor cameras.

Is there a solution/fix to this issue that a tech can apply? Do they turn up the power to the infrared LEDs?
