New Garage Door

If I get a new garage door can I move the tilt sensor to the new door?

Yes! The Garage Door Tilt Sensor can be moved. Here are some key things to make note of.

  • The sensor is connected to the door with 2 mounting screws.
  • Do not mount in the center of your garage door. The optimal position is within 12 inches of the top sectional door on the extreme right or left.
  • The small arrow on the sensor must point up when the garage door is closed to avoid false readings.

I was told that anything stuck on can be restuck with any 2 sided tape. Installer recommended 3M tape, but said any good and strong 2 sided shoudl work.
