Digital Life Keypad Staying Lit 24 hours

I need to know how to make my Digital Life keypad light to turn off.   Its in my bedroom and stays lit all of the time.   My other keypad actually goes dark after a while, so I know its possible.

According to Customer Service, the glow is not possible to turn off.   I guess I'll just put a piece of tape over it.

Hello @Longhorns2010

Some keypad models are adjustable through your web App. Please click here to chat with a support agent, if you need assistance with this change.

I complained about the brightness of the keypad as well about the low and unadjustable volume. I was told while talking to a specialist on the phne that a new keypad was coming out soon and that I could get the new keypad to solve my problems when it was available. After seeing an email about clicking a link to make the chime volume louder, I called customer service to find out about the new keypad and 'she' was not aware of the email of feature to click this link to have the volume reprogrammed. I told her that I wanted to leave feedback that I dont want to call customer service to reprogram my chime volume or the chime on/off featuer. I want to control that myselft as I was able to do on my original alarm system.  She did say that keypad 2.0 was out and I could pay for an upgrade to that. The only other keypad I see on the digital life web site is the touch screen one. I am not sure if that is keypad 2.0 but the assurance from the original service SME that I would receive the improved keypad as a covered swap seems to not be true. I complained about the keypad day one. Not happy about this.Cat Frustrated

I believe that I have now received Keypad 2.0. On the back it reads
Model No. SR-KPD02

It is better because this one I can program through the Digital Life
program and you can change the brightness from 1 to 5, and the chime
from 1 to 5. There is no Off, so you're stuck with some kind of noise.

Funny thing is that I have 2 keypads, but only one of them shows on my
Digital Life Control Panel, so I guess they both run off the same
instructions.

Do they look similar if so maybe only keypad 2.0 is the only one offered now?

They are smaller than the original one and you can remove them off of
the wall very easily.

Go to your keypad; grab it on both sides, and pull up. If it comes off
the wall, then read the back to see if its the one I told you about.
You can sign on to your Digital Life account, go to the Devices List,
scroll over to the right to Keypads, click on Keypads, and it should
give you the option for Brighter and Louder.

AT&T Team,

Having the same issue.  I've got the newer-style keypad in the foyer that is adjustable, but the SW-ATT-PAD2W keypad in the master bedroom.  The glow is quite bright at night.  Can you confirm that there is truly no way to adjust the glow on the 1.0 keypad?  If this is true, could I request a swap for one that I can dim?  I'll gladly install and send my current one back.  The glow is very problematic at night.

Thanks for your support.

@Rob1547 unfortunately, you cannot adjust settings on the keypad 1.0.

If you decide to upgrade to keypad 2.0, you can call into our support center and request the latest version of our keypad. It will require a technician to come out and professionally install.

Old style keypads without software brightness adjustments can get "stuck" at high brightness. Soft reset the keypads by pressing together and holing for three seconds the *and # keys. Hopefully this will cure your problem.
