Like the title says, if I get this model thermostat and call someone to put the digital life unit to discovery mode will it talk to the thermostat.

@tcdesignguy ,

Currently Digital Life does not support third party devices. We do offer an Energy Package which includes a thermostat with automation capability! This thermostat can be monitored and controlled directly, using the Digital Life App on your smartphone, computer, or tablet.

Please keep in mind third party devices are not guaranteed to integrate with your Digital Life system, and will not be support should any malfunction occur.

You can check out our Energy Package and Thermostat here at https://my-digitallife.att.com/learn

@tcdesignguy - The Honeywell thermostat that you're inquiring about is a WiFi thermostat, and the Digital Life system uses Z Wave home automation technology.  I don't think it'll communicate with the system.  Although, that Honeywell thermostat does come with a free app, can be DIY installed, and allows you to receive alerts and control it remotely.  http://yourhome.honeywell.com/home/Products/Thermostats/7-Day-Programmable/Wi-Fi+Smart+Thermostat.htm

You'll probably have better luck with compatibility with the Digital Life system by using the Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave Enabled Programmable Thermostat.  I can't say for sure that it'll work, but I do know that DL uses ZWave to communicate with home automation add ons.  In fact, if you buy the energy package from AT&T, they will ship you a Honeywell thermostat.

I'd be interested in knowing if this works with the system as well...anyone? Smiley Wink
