Wifi Calling on Unlocked Phones?
AT&T had announced that once HD Voice and Wifi Calling was deployed in locked phones they would start rolling it out to compatible unlocked phones. Is there any word on when the deployment to unlocked phones will start rolling out?
Background...
In recent travels I found AT&T cellular coverage spotty, however my wife's iPhone latched on to AT&T Wifi where she could continue to make and receive calls. I have an unlocked Blackberry Priv (STV100-1) which is identical as the AT&T branded Blackberry Priv (STV100-1). The only difference is that AT&T has whitelisted the AT&T version for Wifi Calling based upon it's IMEI. From my understanding, all it takes to enable WIFI calling on the unlocked phone is to add it to the whitelist.
I'd like to offer my Priv in an experiment for AT&T so they can validate deployment to unlocked phones is possible and works as expected. This should be a good test as the branded version is supported and works. For those that travel, it would be a nice gesture to broaden coverage in weak cellular areas.

@GLIMMERMAN76,
Yes, I used Odin and flashed AP, BL, CSC, and CP. I used G935AUCU4BQF3, which is the latest update that I am aware of.
@DigitizedMe, it sounds like you have invested more time in this than I have, and I already feel like I've wasted a lifetime.. LOL
I guess I could reflash this phone with the TMo firmware and sell it to buy an AT&T phone - it's just irritating. I shouldn't have to!

Sometimes I want to beat my face off my keyboard, but it's all worth it for that "Ahha!" moment when I figure something out!
Here's the best explanation of AT&T's IMEI whitelist: https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comments/6qpjyb/volte_on_unlocked_phones/
I've tried to place a DMD request with Verizon in order to add my IMEI to their database. The reps send it, but I was told it gets automatically rejected because it stays listed as a "Non-VZW Device."
In order to make any changes to my Verizon plan (add or remove HD Voice, International Calling, upgrade data,) I have to swap my SIM to a whitelisted VZW branded phone, make the changes, then I can swap back.
They all have the quirks. It's nice to have an unlocked phone to switch between the networks and tinker. Barring the activation fee though.

Not on ATT....
The discussion isn’t about whether the phone is capable, it’s whether it is possible to do so on ATT. And it’s not. Only selected, branded androids can Wifi call on ATT.

To many people talk the talk but don't have the proof... I have checked every place including XDA and could only find one person is saying wifi calling is working and they got called out on it also.... Volte is for most people...

2018 and AT&T still has not sent the Wi-Fi calling to Android Devices. I just bought an unlocked version of the Note 9. It does not have Wi-Fi Calling and/or Advanced Messaging. Hmmmm… I have been an AT&T customer for years and AT&T will not allow me to have access to these features. Much less AT&T puts a data limit of MMS of 1 MB. Seriously!!!! It is 2018 with 4G LTE! 1 MB is in the days of dinosaurs. I mean even the internet screams louder than 1 MB download/upload speeds. Come on!
