WIFI calling on S21 FE purchased from Samsung

Purchased my wife a new phone from Samsung and made sure it was a ATT linked device. I boot it up and it has ATT splashed all over it. So I transfer her sim from her old phone and canty get wifi calling to come up. In our area WIFI calling is a MUST. Any suggestions?

... perhaps the SIM card from her old phone is the problem? Was her old phone a Samsung phone and also Wi-Fi calling capable?

Hi Thanks for the response. Yes it was a Note 10 and did have wifi calling.

We are here to help with the Wi-Fi Calling on your wife's Samsung S21 FE @RickC61.

 

To make calls over Wi-Fi when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

  • From Phone, tap More options > Settings > Wi-Fi calling.
  • Tap to enable this feature.
  • Follow the prompts to set up and configure Wi-Fi calling.

These settings can be found in your User Manual on page 100.

 

We suggest running your device through our Troubleshooting Tool. Under Fix an Issue select Phone Calls>Wi-Fi Calling. This will provide you with our top resolutions.

 

Please note that the Samsung S21 FE was recently released on 01/11/2022. As you did not purchase the device directly from AT&T you may need to wait for a software update for the device to be compatible with Wi-Fi Calling on our network.

My new Samsung Galaxy S21 kept losing Wifi Calling sporadically, sometimes recovering and sometimes not.  The only fix that worked for me was to download the VoWifi app (by Cast4TV).  This may or may not be a fix for all Samsungs exhibiting this issue, but I had success.  I hope a software fix is on the horizon, as this problem affects tons of users.
