Hi @musicman73

Thank you for reaching out to us today. We'll be happy to assist you.

Lookout Security is a third party app, so we don't really have information about what that does. We have two security apps: Mobile Security and Call Protect. The former helps protect your data from breaches, protects your phone over open unencrypted Wifi, and alerts you if suspicious activity is detected. The latter detects and blocks spam and fraud calls and lets you block numbers.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I know this is an older post, but the question remains the same.  Does on need both AT&T Mobile Security (which now says "Powered by Lookout" on the opening screen) and Lookout, or, may either one be used, preferably AT&T Mobile Security which is being paid for in order to acquire the added benefits.

In addition, Since AT&T's Mobile Security App, upon opening, states that it is "Powered by Lookout", I don't see how Darais' answer is relevant any longer, leaving the original question unanswered; i.e., which app is recommended and is running both duplicitous and utilizing unnecessary battery power. Simply answering the question in light of the AT&T Mobile Security App's statement that it is powered by "Lookout" would be most helpful.
