When any ATT customer including cricket calls toll free numbers that belong to century link in central FL, you may get static.

att wireless service on IPHONE 8 PLUS

When any ATT customer including cricket calls toll free numbers that belong to century link in central FL, you may get static.

Even century link toll free numbers that arent mine. I see the failure from North Georgia to Tampa to Melbourne as the path.

Century link says it is coming from the handoff to them.

The transport from att network to switch 7 (dex switch Tampa) which is owned by Century Link receives the call from ATT.

The static is present and will be random.

No static from att prepaid customer in VA.

No static from my att phone to ANY other toll free not owned by CL.

This issue is in the handoff from att to point code 242-1-25.

I need att to bridge with Century Link to resolve this issue.

I can facilitate that bridge but as a lowly att wirless customer, I am talking about transport involvement.

Im just the local Melbourne phone guy for a company who's toll free calls originating from central FL region att customers randomly come in with static and have to call back in because they cant hear or the call is disruptive.

THIS WILL HAPPEN FOR ANY ATT WIRELESS CUSTOMER CALLING CENTURY LINK TOLL FREE NUMBERS IN THE PATH IN QUESTION.

Almost everyone has called and dismissed these things as a "bad cell". Nope. Its a transport issue with interference that no one wants to fix.

Everyone just calls back and the issue is never resolved.

I would like this to be resolved.

I have CL engineer standing by.

Hey there @dtvnowreeks!

Thanks for letting us know. Currently, as your issue is still under review, we advise that you wait until our Back Office team reaches a resolution with your case as they'll be able to address any network/service issues.

Once the case resolves, and if you're still in need of assistance, make sure to contact us here on AT&T Community & Forums and we'll take a look into your case for you.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

The first ticket was closed after att send me a text that said the following.

AT&T Free Msg: We were unable to identify any network related issues. If you?re still having issues please call (Phone number hidden). Thank you for choosing AT&T!

The ticket was opened Saturday morning and its 8pm Wednesday on my second ticket.

I’m just a wireless customer trying to get resolved the issue att and cricket customers get when they call certain numbers that have static

Its between att and Century Link

Why cant you just get the person from att who is familiar with the incoming call to att

network and the handoff to the point code, route, or whatever you want to call the redirect to the CL network because they are the resporg?

This can be isolated if the right people get involved.

@dtvnowreeks

they did get the people you listed involved BUT they found no issue at that time or did not test good enough. Thats why the ticket was closed.

Thats not how it should work.

If they dont find an issue, it doesnt mean there isnt one. Thats how incompetent IT works but not for people or companies who insist on resolving difficult issues. There is a solution.

I am the customer

Its between Century Link and att.

Why cant they work together to find a solution?

Sending a text that says you found no problem on the network is not resolving an issue.

att isnt happy with my comments.

My service is not working on and off today.

Are you really that vindictive?

16 years as a customer and I have watched your numbers be so good you dont care about losing a single customer. Fixing static to one set of numbers is too tough. smh

Of course, my phone has nothing to do with it.

A man in Plant City FL as well as Jasper GA on cricket have the same issue I do.

The new way for att to repair tough issues is to slow down the network and cut service on their phone until they change carriers.

I confirmed that it seems when I call one of the toll free numbers, the static is on the ATT side only. The called number doesnt hear the static.

I have good service today on my cell phone but the static is still there.

Again, only on the att side of the call.
