What is wrong with the ATT website???

I was attempting to change my phone number online because of changing states. The site fails to work after numerous attempts over multiple days. I've made multiple attempts to troubleshoot this with support and the last support rep stated the following.

<<My Error>> We apologize for the inconvenience. We are unable to process your request on line at this time. Please use the Chat button below to get help from a live agent or contact us at (Phone number hidden). (MNC22)

<<Support Rep>>Loise: It seems that there is an error going on with online process, If I tried to do it here in my end, It will give me the same message, I would highly recommend you to go to the store.

How is this a solution? Go to the store...you go to the store. Fix your website!!!

Greetings @mkd_xxx,

 

We understand your frustration with the AT&T website not working for you. We'd recommend you trying to use a different web browser, clearing your cookies and cache. Or also, even try to use the My AT&T app to change your phone number.

The web site is still not working, every time I get signed in it redirects me to Microsoft  When I call CSR they are no help.

The Website is STUCK IN LOOP. If you'd like us to pay our bills, I suggest you fix it. I am using Google. It works just fine for everyone else. Funny that stale excuse and procedure given is standard for not knowing how to fix something. Why not recommend we reset our modems, too?? Oh, wait.. it's that phone thing like when Blizzard got booed off the stage, right?

Which OTHER browsers do you recommend when Microsoft Edge and Google, Google Chrome 'fail' to log in to AT&T? What about people who don't have a smartphone to pay a bill with?

It hasn't worked for me in days on multiple devices.  I'm seriously considering ditching ATT and Direct TV - it costs more than anywhere else and support sites do not work.  I've been a customer for years, but it's just not doing it for me anymore.  I can't even get CBS or Fox sports on DirectTV along with other channels, and I'm paying more for it than other services.  Time to switch - and I recently bought two Direct TV streaming boxes.  It's not worth it - especially since you have to pay for all the other apps like peacock, paramount plus and other streaming apps to watch the shows that used to be on local channels - it (Edited per community guidelines).
